Letha Darlene Gibbs
 
            Letha Darlene Gibbs was born the daughter of Cecil, and Julia (Tinsley) Muhr on Friday, May 24, 1940 in Scottsbluff, Nebraska.
 
            Letha attended schools in Harrisburg, Nebraska. After graduating high school, she moved to California. She met Gordon in 1956 and they were married on June 22, 1958. Their life together brought them to Kansas, Nebraska, South Dakota and in 1966 they settled in the Newberg area.  Letha enjoyed all types of crafts. For five years she operated a craft store in Newberg. She later worked as a checking clerk for First Federal Bank in McMinnville. Gordon and Letha were married for over fifty-three years.     
 
            On Saturday, December 17, 2011, Letha Darlene Gibbs died at her residence when she was seventy-one years, six months and twenty-three days of age.
 
            Surviving and left to honor her life are: Her husband Gordon; her son Dale of Newberg; three daughters, Julie Sly of Portland, Penny Harris of Newberg, and Amy Buckman of Oregon City; three brothers, Larry Muhr of Scottsbluff, Nebraska, Gary Muhr of Dayton, and Doyle Muhr of Portland; two sisters, Bonnie Libby of Dayton, and Lucille Morris of Georgia; ten grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren and those who have come to know and appreciate her where she has lived and worked. Letha was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers and two sisters.
 
            Her Memorial Service will be Saturday, January 7, 2012, at 11:00 a.m. in West Chehalem Friends Church, Newberg. Arrangements are in the care of Attrell's Newberg Funeral Chapel, a Golden Rule Funeral Home.   Online condolences may be made at www.attrells.com
